A former monastery in Tourcoing, the Hospice d'Havre is a place of cultural exchange around international and local artists.
Founded in 1260, the Hospice d'Havre became a monastery in 1631. The original convent has a beautiful brick and stone architecture, a cloister, a garden with medicinal plants and a chapel. After the departure of the last resident, the former monastery became a college and then a Maison Folie. Today, it is a place of cultural exchange that honors international and local artists through exhibitions, shows, concerts, guided tours and workshops.
