Opened in 1997, Le Fresnoy, Studio national des Arts contemporains, is housed in a building rehabilitated by the Franco-American architect Bernard Tschumi. It is a place of dissemination, offering the public contemporary art exhibitions, author's film programs, film library screenings, conferences and various events. It is also a place of training since it allows creators to realize their works with professional technical means, under the direction of national and international artists.
