With several thousands of crossings a year, the region is an indispensable part of Northern European boaters. Valenciennes Métropole, in partnership with VNF, built a new Plaisance port on a 64-slot Scheldt arm, allowing recreational boats to accommodate up to 10 metres, for day-to-day stopovers, short stays or berths year-round. It is a certified Port of pleasure, thanks to a global approach to accessibility and respect for the environment. Integrated equipment in the city, close to Valenciennes centre and Transportation (Valenciennes station, tram…)
