DOMAINE DU GRAND MAYNE
In 1985 Andrew Gordon, seduced by the wine potential of the Pays de Duras, bought Great Mayne. After reforested the estate of 34 ha of vines with tools of high-performance technology vinification, he began construction of a wine cellar with a capacity of 180 barrels. From these hillsides, remarkably exposed, comes a dry white, Domaine du Grand Mayne Sauvignon 2012 (€ 5,50) rounded and fruity. On the rosé side, the 2012, mainly based on Merlot, then on the Cabernet cabernet and cabernet and franc, is required from the aperitif to white meat dishes or fish grill (5,50 €). You will dwell on the charms of Cuvée Prestige 2008. This structured wine (it has been spent for 12 months), many awards, looks on red meats. It is sold at a friend price (€ 8).
