Closed in 2023 for renovations, the Halle Lakanal on the banks of the Lot has seen a resurgence in business. Villeneuvois and tourists alike come here to buy top-quality fruit, vegetables, cheeses and charcuterie. The "Tendances et Traditions" bakery stands out with a special baguette, the "charismatic", made with cornstarch, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. We love the local Mont Pujols specialty, vanilla sponge cake with raspberries. The covered space also houses a bar-restaurant, "La Table du marché".
