RESTAURANT FROMAGE ET PLUS
Restaurant with terrace offering charcuterie and cheese boards, a lunch menu and oysters.
Located opposite the magnificent village hall, the grocery store sets up its beautiful sunny terrace to enjoy good products such as those from the Barthouil house during the end-of-year celebrations: wild salmon, duck breast dried with foie gras... Visitors can also order, on site or to take away, boards of deli meats and of course cheese. The Futé's favourite is mahogany (a tomme made from Salers cow's milk), retorta (Spanish cheese made from sheep's milk that is eaten with a spoon and its particularity: vegetable ferment made from thistle). The grocery store works as much as possible with small producers in short circuits. To accompany the dishes, Marie has a background in oenology, a plus to combine cheese and wine! It also offers 25 varieties of Belgian beers. In summer, Fromage et Plus offers a lunch formula made largely with the products of the shop by Fred, Marie's father, who works from the starter to the dessert: Bresaola carpaccio, pretty salads with grocery products (especially the delicious mozzarella tomatoes!), vegetable gazpacho, croque-monsieur with good cheese and always the delicious delicatessen, bagels... Here, the menu is changing: each day its formula! Finally, on the second Sunday of each month, during the flea market, Cheese and More organizes a Marenne-Oléron oyster tasting. There are also theme evenings on Fridays around cheese. Find the schedule on the Facebook page.
