L'HORIZON
Baroque style restaurant offering northern Italian specialities in Zuydcoote.
The Horizon has two major advantages: an unpredictable view of the North Sea and the adjacent dunes that could almost be reached with one's finger and a monopoly position, as it is the only establishment of the small Zuydcoote dike. Whatever the weather, the spectacle of nature will be there. During high tide, when the waves tease the dike, you feel like you're on the deck of a boat. Catherine Macri and her husband opened the facility in May 2017. They offer a card with a dual identity that reflects their origins: northern specialities and Italian sounding proposals. Some dishes are served in a frying pan, which may surprise you, beware of the imposing handle! The welcome is courteous, the service benevolent. Italian serenades resonate in the background of this baroque restaurant, with here and there wooden bas-reliefs and a life-size waiter, also made of wood, who will fool many people. For clients accompanied by a dog, the dog is accepted, provided it is kept on a leash, silent and does not disturb other clients.
