GUINNESS HOTEL
Former hotel of the first president of the Artois Council, with an elegant cobbled courtyard, listed salons and a private auditorium.
Built in 1738, the Hôtel de Guînes is the former residence of the first president of the Conseil Provincial d'Artois. It is one of the few surviving private mansions in Arras, bearing witness to 18th-century architecture, built on the Parisian model. The residence opens onto an elegant cobbled courtyard. Its salons are listed. Situated in the heart of Arras, just a stone's throw from the theater, it is used as a venue for exhibitions and occasionally as a stage for open-air shows, including the famous DiDouDa Arras Festival held every year in June.
