GUINNESS HOTEL
Former hotel of the first president of the Artois Council, with an elegant cobbled courtyard, listed salons and a private auditorium.
Built in 1738, the Hotel de Guînes is the former hotel of the first president of the Provincial Council of Artois. It is one of the few private mansions preserved in Arras, witness of the architecture of the 18th century. The house opens onto an elegant paved courtyard. Its rooms are classified. Located in the heart of Arras, a stone's throw from the theatre, it is sometimes used as a stage for open-air shows, notably for the Faites de la Chanson festival in June. Its auditorium can be privatized. It is a Mecca for intimate artistic creation in Arras.
