JEAN-BAPTISTE SAY SPINNING
Cotton mill located within the walls of a former Benedictine abbey.
The economist Jean-Baptiste Say created the cotton mill in 1804, within the walls of an old Benedictine abbey. What remains today is a peaceful, very green site, crossed by the bubbling waters of the Ternoise. The remains of the abbey sit harmoniously alongside the factory and the Château Blanc, built by Jean-Baptiste Say to house his family. A fishing park integrated into the site can be rented; the barbecue is provided! A lovely site that allows for relaxation as well as erudition.
