Founded by nuns, this hospital housed 400 children, then 450 beds, and became a hospital for the wounded in 1915.
The Cazin-Perrochaud Hospital was founded by the Franciscan nuns of the maritime hospital of Berck. It was the third hospital installed in Berck. Located on the premises of the Grand Hotel, it welcomed about a hundred children in the first year of its opening, in 1894. It then expanded to 450 beds and in 1915 became a hospital for the care of the wounded. Its period chapel can still be admired today.
