TOWN HOTEL
An Art Deco-style hotel with the same architecture as the surrounding houses, including stained glass, ironwork and mosaics.
A first city hall was built in 1811. The building was totally destroyed during the Great War. It was Jacques Alleman, one of the architects of the reconstruction of the Grand'Place, who took charge of rebuilding it and opted for an Art Deco style. The new city hall was built on the old site. Its lines are the same as those of the surrounding houses, but on a monumental scale. In 2001, it was classified as a historical monument for its stained glass windows in hammered slabs, its ironwork and its mosaics.
