THE HOTEL DE BEAULAINCOURT
A private mansion built by Philippe-Alexandre, used as a courthouse from the French Revolution until 1930.
Built in 1750 by Philippe-Alexandre de Beaulaincourt, Count of Marles, the Hôtel de Beaulaincourt is an 18th century mansion in Béthune. Built on an enclosed courtyard, in white stone with rocaille decoration and sandstone base, the building was used as a court from the French Revolution until 1930. Unfortunately, the city could not turn it into a museum, so it was decided to create a meeting place for the population and the arts, hosting various events. It has been classified as a historical monument since 1974.
