Chapel in altitude built following the apparition of the Virgin to a shepherd in a hawthorn bush, accessible on foot by the GR10

At an altitude of 389 m, the chapel overlooks the village. This small sanctuary is said to be the result of an apparition of the Virgin Mary to a young shepherd in a hawthorn bush: legend or reality? From here, a unique panoramic view of Ainhoa, Sare, La Rhune, the Xareta cirque and the Nivelle valley can be enjoyed on foot, via the GR10. Climb a hill with 13 white crosses and you'll reach the oratory in an hour, round trip to the village. It can also be reached by car.
