A marvellous view of the surrounding countryside when you stop here! You're in the heart of the beautiful Aldudes Valley to enjoy generous, well-crafted local cuisine. Family-style cooking using local produce from the farm: black pudding, Banka trout, lamb and Basque pork parillada cooked in the brazier, axoa, homemade ham, omelette with porcini mushrooms in season, Ossau-Iraty cheese... The Laxague family also offer tours of their breeding farm and day excursions, where you can go up to the mountain pastures for evening milking and cheese-making.

plus d'agneau de lait au menu, nous avons pris à la carte planche de charcuterie où le pâté domine au détriment du jambon en particulier, mais excellent, ensuite parillada de porc, boudin saucisse confite très bon mais côte un peu sèche, pas de purée mais des frites , dessert maison très bien. Vin Rioja décevant et froid.
Trop à manger, mais déséquilibre entre le bouratif et le recherché.
