CASTLE AND FORTIFICATIONS
Count's castle in the shape of an irregular polygon, with collections from the Boulogne-sur-Mer museum, offering a guided tour.
The château comtal, built in the 13th century, is shaped like an irregular polygon, with a tower in each corner. It has two gates leading to the town and the countryside. It has no keep, an architectural trend of the period. Only the Salle Comtale, symbolically the castle's most important room, remains in its original state. The castle had a network of battlements, of which only two sections remain today. Exciting guided tours!
