LA CASA SAN MARTÍN - MUSEUM
The house where General San Martín died in 1850, liberating Argentina, Chile and Peru from Spanish domination.
It was in this house that General San Martin died in 1850, who liberated Argentina, Chile and Peru from the Spanish domination. The Argentine State has been administering the house since 1926. The house has been preserved: the furniture and memorabilia of the General are displayed and an exhibition puts into perspective the role of San Martin in South America. A bronze equestrian statue of the general is erected on Boulevard Sainte-Beuve, near Nausicaá and the waterfront.
