LA BUISSONNIÈRE
Restaurant with traditional cuisine offering a stunning wine list in Calais.
A 1930s setting: like most of the city's gastronomic establishments, the restaurant shows a definite preference for the retro period. The frescoes, the counter and the decoration in general have a postcard effect and it works... The service is in keeping with the times, as is the cuisine, with the big names in traditional cuisine reviewed and corrected with the help of small pleasing finds such as the smoked avocado carpaccio and pomegranate vinaigrette; prawns, white beans in coconut milk, radish vermicelli; millefeuille of duck foie gras, sweetbreads and prawns, citrus fruit emulsion or pan-fried lamb chops, vacherin purée like a fondue, caramelized onion juice. Everything is a delight for those who know how to wait! The wine list is breathtaking and the welcome is extra. A good value for money for this gastro worthy of the name.
