LE PARC SAINT-PIERRE
This park was originally twice bigger but it was gradually trimmed by urbanisation. Its fountain was erected in 1863 to celebrate the arrival of running water in Calais and the statue that adorns it is a reflection of a well-known work of the Louvre museum, Les Trois Grâces. This park contains the museum of "Mémoire 39-45", the aquarium engineering circle, a large playground for children and a boules area. Twenty-four trees were classified by the municipal team of Parcs et Jardins as remarkable trees and are marked by a flash-code. Amongst them are Catalpa, an exotic species from the South-East of the United States or a sequoia from China. We wish you a splendid stroll!
