OUR LADY OF REFUGE
The mother house of the congregation and the retreat house for sisters from all over the world
The Congregation of the Servants of Mary owns a huge estate in the forest, bought by Father Louis-Edouard Cestac in 1838 to offer a house in the country to young prostitutes who wanted to get out of it. Today it is the mother house of the congregation and the retreat house for sisters from all over the world. In a secluded corner is Father Cestac's tomb and steles to evoke his life journey. The L.-E. institution is also on site. Cestac (social work), a day nursery and the François de Paule pavilion, welcome women in temporary difficulty.
