It's a traditional meeting place for walkers and fishermen, as the ocean is always ready to make a spectacle of itself; and what gives this natural setting its personality is the diversity of its landscapes, as it's situated between the Adour estuary, two lakes, one freshwater and the other saltwater, a dune, the Pignada forest, the beach and the ocean. This gigantic space offers a host of facilities to enhance the site, including an ice rink and numerous restaurants and bars. Faced with this potential, the town of Anglet decided to combine the protection of this exceptional environment with opening it up to the public for a variety of uses: leisure in the broadest sense of the term, gliding, relaxation, well-being and also culture and discovery. To this end, a multi-purpose riding area has been designed, dedicated to the disciplines of rollerblading, skateboarding, BMX, etc., with an access road serving all the facilities and cycle paths leading into the site to connect with the deck, a wide esplanade along the Adour. Last but not least, the Izadia ecological park and its interpretation center, which is being rebuilt after the Chiberta forest fire in 2020, offer discovery and activities on ecology and nature. The complex also boasts a huge parking lot. A real attraction that has become a must-see in the region. It's also an esplanade for summer events.
