An impressive forest with a lake and a superb golf course of international renown in Anglet, a beautiful site to discover.
The communal forest of Chiberta (at the edge of the beaches), of Pignada (the most extensive) and the departmental forest of Lazaret (small), in total 300 ha, make Anglet a green resort! It includes a small lake and a beautiful golf course of international reputation. On July 30, 2020, 90 ha were affected by a fire, 40 ha of trees in the burned area are now giving way to young shoots. More than 1,100 trees in the area are preserved. The municipality has organized a large-scale action in 2022 with the participation of schools, supervised by the fire department.
