THE PORTAL OF THE MUSKETEERS
An association offering guided tours of the ruins of Aramits, telling the story of the Three Musketeers.
Alexandre Dumas immortalized Aramits with the name of the village in his famous cape and sword novel. You will discover its history, the true and the romanticized, through educational panels, all year round in free access or with a local storyteller. In July and August, the association of the Musketeers of Béarn and Gascony invites you to go a little further in this fascinating period and organizes guided tours, in costume, in the ruins of Aramits telling the whole story of the three musketeers. An original experience that is more of a show than a cultural visit to a monument! It should be noted that the association participates in many activities throughout the summer period (at the Arette night market and some shows in the valley, between Arette and Mauléon) and organizes artistic fencing courses during the holiday periods.
