CAPE BLANC-NEZ
Cap Blanc-Nez on the town of Escalles with a marked circuit for hiking, overlooking cliffs of 134 m high.
The site impresses with 134-metre-high cliffs. The chalky hills have preserved a moorland swept by the spray of north-westerly winds and dotted with World War II bomb craters. With a superb view of the English coastline, Cap Blanc-Nez, along with Cap Gris-Nez to the south, has been awarded the Grand Site de France label since 2011. You can hike all the way to Wissant along the coastline, either along the cliff tops at high tide, or along the sandy beaches at low tide.
