WINTENBERGER MILL MUSEUM
This mill, built in the century, is one of the finest examples of this type of architecture in the region.
The Moulin Saint-Vaast, built in the 12th century, is one of the finest examples of this type of architecture in the region. On the banks of the Canche, in the heart of a green park, the Mill reigns here in all its imposing stature. Burnt, partially destroyed and mishandled for centuries, the mill has always been rebuilt. Today it houses a unique museum that retraces the rural, agricultural and industrial history of the Ternois. Agricultural equipment, farm and mill tools, photos, plans, models...: the museum has many resources to bring to life and relive this industrial past. But the museum also retraces the history of the manufacturers of agricultural machinery installed at Frévent from 1837 to 1957: the Wittenberger establishments. The museum does not stand still, but lives to the rhythm of encounters and develops its programme around those who wish to pass on their history and know-how.
