ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH
The most beautiful church in the north of France, with a mixture of very solid London sandstone and carved limestone.
The church of Saint-Nicolas, heir to the last Romanesque period, is considered one of the most beautiful in northern France. The present church is probably the third to be built on this site, and has itself undergone numerous transformations. The first written mention of the church dates back to 1173, which led to it being listed as a Monument Historique on March 15, 1909. It was built from a mixture of very solid, probably local, Landen sandstone and limestone rubble.
