Lovely campsite near the town of Guines. We have stayed many times at both the campground and the hotel which is near the small chateau. Restaurant and café bar on site. Very handy for Calais ferries.

Arrived after reception closed as our channel tunnel crossing was delayed by an hour so had to find our own pitch. Tried to book into the restaurant but they were fully booked and very busy. Asked if we could have some take away french fries but were told by the waitress that they don't do take away and the take away facility was closed. Then had a conversation with the chef who very kindly supplied us with some take away fries - for which many thanks. The shop on site the next morning did not sell any croissants, french baguettes or pastries which was very disappointing. I know they are closing in a couple of weeks but these products should still be available now. Not acceptable at a Castel site.

First time here and very impressed with what we have. Large caravans with private parking, lovely setting in the grounds of the castle each plot is private and quite. Loads to do on site if you are sporty and a covered swimming pool. Restaurant - bar - snack bar and a shop. 5 min walk into the centre with a selection of restaurants and a few bars. Already looking to booking for next year.
