MOULIN COMMUNAL D'ARETTE
Visit a mill, one of Arette's oldest buildings, for a fascinating encounter with the history of craftsmanship.
It is surely one of the oldest buildings in Arette, having been listed by Gaston dit Fébus as early as 1385, and is the only survivor of the 40 that stood there at the time. Logically, this 14th-century mill, located on a diversion of the Virgou stream, continues its beautiful history with the commune, which has bought it back to preserve it, restore it, offer it to the people of Arette and put it at the service of education and tourism. In the heart of the village, you can discover all the elements that make up this early medieval mill and its bread oven, as well as enjoy the verdant setting of the Calvaire wood and a stroll along the Virgou. A fascinating guided tour!
