Fascinating history center, housed in a colossal 55,000-ton dome built by the Nazis in Helfaut.

Under this colossal dome of 55,000 tons built by the Nazis is installed a fascinating history center: the crazy projects of the Germans, the V2 rocket, up to a memorial of the deported. After this immersion in history, float in space thanks to the 3D Planetarium. Aboard the Saturn V, set out to conquer the Moon or Mars. The bubble with a 360° hemispheric screen will make the show more real than real. Count on at least 2h30 on site.

une ancienne base de V2 dont l'activité a été interrompue par la débâcle allemande en 1945, bien mise en valeur et avec de nombreuses expositions sur la seconde guerre mondiale en général (assez long d'en faire le tour). A noter le planetarium panoramique qui diffuse différents films sur la nature et l'espace.

Une très agréable visite durant laquelle nous avons découvert à la fois l'histoire des lieux (la coupole devait être une aire de lancement de v1 et v2 durant la seconde guerre mondiale mais le projet n'a jamais abouti) et les mystères de l'univers.
Nous avons assisté à la projection d'un film sur l'univers dans la coupole : découverte de différentes constellations, d'étoiles bien plus grosses que notre soleil... on ressort de la en se sentant tout petit.
Prévoir au moins une demi-journée voire même une journée entière si vous voulez visionner plusieurs films (il y en avait 4 ou 5)
