AUBERGE DE LA CHARBONNIÈRE
Restaurant inn offering Alsatian specialties in Bellefosse.
Away from the Alsace plain, the mountainous backdrop is a richness not to be missed, a place where hikers and skiers must pass through in winter. At an altitude of 960 metres, in the Champ du Feu sector, the inn stands out for its size. You can taste typical dishes: Alsatian specialities, many based on cheeses (fondues, raclettes, munster...) but also and especially the Chapeaurade! This is another way of approaching the mountains: this speciality from Switzerland makes it possible to grill veal, beef and poultry on a hat, accompanied by raw vegetables and chips... Homemade pies with seasonal fruits (plums, blueberries, apples or quetsches) remind us how beautiful the mountain is! Inside, conviviality obliges, we settle around a beautiful fireplace.

Supposedly the " new propriétaires" were already there a few years ago and the menu is identical in a sidelines of little else. Just new curtains and lamps and loads of plants and flowers that could believe in a horticulturist!!! There is perhaps their talent?
The welcome is friendly but the food is tasteless and without originality and waiting area is long. Too bad
