THE BUILDING
A square tower of 3 floors that housed 3 dungeons on top of each other.
Built in the 16th century, the belfry was destroyed in 1639 by a French shell during the Thirty Years War. The legacy of a private individual made it possible to restore it more than 200 years later. It is a square tower of 3 floors that housed 3 dungeons. On the fourth floor rests a two-ton bell. It is one of the 23 buildings in the region listed as a World Heritage Site. It cannot be visited, but the municipal museum installed in the dungeons retraces the evolution of the town and its belfry. The entrance is free of charge and can be done through the tourist office.
