CITY HALL AND HESDIN BELFRY
Hesdin's Renaissance town hall topped by a belfry listed as a World Heritage Site, with a belfry decorated with statues.
The town hall of Hesdin was built in the 16th and 17th centuries in a Renaissance style. It is topped by a belfry which was listed as a World Heritage Site in July 2005. The massive belfry, once a defensive element, is decorated with statues and coats of arms. The balcony bears the royal arms of Spain, the shields of Hesdin and Artois as well as the arms of France. The two-ton bell at the top has a (very) composed first name: Daniele-Marie-Pauline-Henriette.
