ALPRECH TIP LIGHTHOUSE
This 62.35 m lighthouse, located on the site of the former semaphore at Cap d'Alprech, is the highest in the Pas-de-Calais region.
Situated on the site of the former semaphore of the Cap d'Alprech, this lighthouse culminates at the highest altitude (62.35 metres above sea level) of all the lighthouses in the Pas-de-Calais. The old semaphore buildings were restored and, at the beginning of November 1830, a lighthouse with a fixed white catoptric light was put into service. It is equipped with an electric lamp lighting (3,000 candle power) supplemented by a petroleum vapour lamp of similar intensity. It was gradually modernized and it was in 1962 that the lighthouse finally took its present form.
