TOWN HALL
An eclectic hotel built for the town council to cater for the growing population due to mining activity.
After the First World War, the Liévin town hall took advantage of the reconstruction to build large, sumptuous buildings to accommodate the growing population due to the mining activity. Jean Goniaux was entrusted with the construction of the building which was inaugurated in 1926. The belfry gives all its cachet to this eclectic style town hall built in reinforced concrete. Inside, in the main staircase, there are magnificent stained glass windows, exalting the work of the mine, by the Lille glass painter Alfred Labille.
