GEOTOPIA - MAISON DE LA NATURE

Created in 2008 by the Communauté d 'Agglomération de Béthune-Bruay, Artois Lys Romane, Geotopia - The nature house is designed to introduce the general public to things of nature and the environment. Among the benefits are astronomy with a program of observations and activities on occasion, including Stars Nights. The site where the dome is installed is fairly well protected from light pollution, and every quarter of the activities are proposed to the general public: workshops (for children), conferences, observations to the telescope (for all ages) etc. Public evening evenings are therefore regularly organized in partnership with the Mount Bernenchon Astronomy Club which provides its own equipment (glasses and telescopes). His animators explain the sky, show how to recognize the main stars, constellations, etc.
