This restaurant, located in the Hôtel Hermitage, is run by Alexandre Gauthier, well known to connoisseurs of fine dining. Following on from the excellence of La Grenouillère and the generosity of Froggy's Tavern, the theme of this year's restaurant is "cuisine from memory", with dishes served in 1979, when La Grenouillère first opened, rehabilitated. This tribute to chef Roland Gauthier is a tribute to the highest standards. The various dishes are prepared as they were in the past and served in a beautifully designed setting. Old-fashioned aperitifs and a fine selection of proprietary wines.

Het is gelegen in het centrum van het pittoreske stadje Montreuil-sur-Mer.
Het is een vleugel van een oud klooster (nu hotel geworden) en is zeer smaakvol en trendy ingericht.
De wijnkaart is rijk en lang. De menu’s die worden aangeboden zijn replica’s van de menukaart uit de jaren 70 van het moederhuis en 2-sterrenrestaurant "La Grenouillère" (dat zich nu buiten het dorp bevindt).
De porties zijn bijgevolg navenant. Enorm dus. Maar bovendien bijzonder fijn en precies afgewerkt.
De bediening is bijzonder vriendelijk en zeer professioneel.
Dit zou een must moeten zijn voor een lekker etentje als je in Montreuil-sur-Mer bent.
Wij namen de foie gras, wulken (in soepvorm), Sint-Jacobs-nootjes als voorgerecht, lotte, tartaar met calvados, de
Angus steak als hoofdgerecht, en kaas als dessert (echte aanrader!)
Er is ook een grote parking op het plein voor het het restaurant.
Hier kom ik zeker terug! (Het is maar 2,5 u rijden vanuit België) ☺️
