THE REMARKS
The ramparts stretch for 3 kilometers and include round towers, a postern and a bastion.
The ramparts extend over 2.5 kilometers and are lined with trees. The walk is very pleasant. The first enclosure was built in the IXth century by the count Helgaud II. The western front is the most pleasant part of the route. You will see five round towers of the XIIIth century, a postern and the bastion known as of Bouillon, near the old Door of France. The south-east front has two 13th-century round towers. You will finish the walk by the North front, by taking the Porte de Boulogne, you will find the old Montreuil.
