ASSON ZOO
Zoo housing monkeys, including some rare species, with one of the largest collections of Kangaroos in Europe
The Asson zoo celebrates its 54th anniversary this year, and is one of the most respectful of the living conditions of the animals, of which there are around 500 spread over 5 hectares. The zoo's strength lies in having recreated their natural environment with exotic flora, but above all it offers the rare opportunity to enter the heart of the aviaries or certain areas. In this way, you can enjoy a rare close-up encounter with squirrels, Patagonian hares, storks and alpacas. You'll also meet Madagascar lemurs, who welcome you without apprehension. As you stroll along, some of them are better off a little further away, like the very solitary white tiger, the pair of snow leopards or the fragile little red pandas. The park is also home to monkeys, including rare species such as marmosets and tamarins, and dwarf antelopes, unique in France. One of Europe's largest collections of kangaroos awaits you, with a brand-new species of wallaby this year. Asson Zoo takes part in European programs for the conservation of endangered species.
