CATHÉDRALE NOTRE-DAME DE SAINT-OMER
Cathedral with a very beautiful example of Gothic architecture of northern France, classified as a historical monument.
Built between the 13th and 16th centuries, this cathedral is a fine example of Gothic architecture in northern France. As early as 1840, the French Monuments Historiques recognized the artistic importance of the site, which can be seen in its unique 15th-century tower-porch, its Romanesque-inspired chevet, and its axis, which is 47° off the usual orientation of churches towards the East. Guided tours are available to help you better appreciate the richness of this edifice.
