SAINT-DENIS CHURCH
The church houses several remarkable objects, such as this Christ by Du Brœucq and a Eucharistic Supper by Della Robia.
Another religious building in the town, this church was erected in 1088. Despite the ravages of time, elements dating from the 13th century still display their Gothic style, such as the tower on the western façade. The building contains several remarkable objects, such as this Christ by Du Brœucq, as well as a Eucharistic Last Supper by Della Robia, a four-poster altarpiece in the choir from the former Dominican convent, another organ by Piette in rocaille style, medieval and Renaissance funerary monuments and richly furnished chapels, the seats of the city's former brotherhoods. Although it has suffered from fires and various destructions, the church has retained all its appeal and still houses the cellars of the most notable families of Audomaroise.
