The city hall, made from 1834 to 1840, is a beautiful ambassador of the neo-classical style inspired by a wing of the Château de Versailles. On the other hand, it houses a magnificent Italian theatre whose lush and colourful decor has just been restored. The concert hall is not behind but Saint-Jean Square. Built in 1833-1834 at the location of the parish church Saint-Jean, it is in neo-neoclassic style as well.
