LAND OF ART AND HISTORY
Country of Art and History highlighting a preserved natural heritage and a remarkable history, from Julius Caesar to today.
In 2015, Saint-Omer celebrated the 30th anniversary of its label Ville, Pays d'Art et d'Histoire. Since then, the label has been extended to the 34 municipalities in the surrounding area, thus highlighting a preserved natural heritage and a remarkable history, from Julius Caesar to the present day. This is an opportunity to highlight the relationship between the Audomarois and the Anglo-Saxons since the Middle Ages, as well as the architecture of the show, as witnessed by the auditorium of the Saint-Omer Conservatory or the Italian-style theatre in the recently renovated town hall.
