The most grandiose cathedral north of Paris in Saint-Omer, 105 m long and 23 m high, housing an organ case from 1717.

At the origin of this majestic building, the one who gave his name to the city: Saint-Omer or Audomarus (600-670), first bishop of Thérouanne. He founded a chapel on the site of an ancient pagan temple. Since that time, the building has not ceased to grow and to be embellished. The architecture as we know it today was the result of a very long work by local craftsmen and builders: more than 300 years of work! The cathedral of Saint-Omer, which has dominated the city since 1561, harmoniously mixes Romanesque and Gothic styles.
