THE PARK OF THE CASTLE
Park allowing both the practice of walking and the implementation of open-air, cultural and musical shows.
In the heart of the city, this park was the birthplace of the feudal castle of the Counts of Saint-Pol, built between the 11th and 15th centuries and destroyed in June 1537 by the army of Charles V at the Battle of Artois. Its remains can still be seen from the wooden footbridges. A natural space, a wooded massif, this park allows both the practice of walking, and the implementation of outdoor shows, cultural and musical. During the school holidays, it is now possible to walk through the park "with your head up in the air" thanks to the creation of a trail in the trees.
