ST.OMER CHURCH
Church of flamboyant gothic style, famous for its square tower, finished with a twisted spire in Verchin.
This 17th century church in the flamboyant Gothic style is an architectural curiosity famous for its square tower, finished with a twisted spire. It has taken on a worrying slant. Legend has it that at the first wedding, the bell tower leaned over to greet the bride, whose dress was as white as her virtue. Unless it is the opposite and that it will straighten up the day another virgin gets married... We are still waiting! The most reasonable speak only of a defect in the frame whose wood would have suffered a bad drying.
