THE GARDENS OF THE LILY

The family castle of Verchin was built towards the end of the 17th century, even if developments took place until the middle of the 19th century. It is listed as a historical monument. The creation of the English-style park spread over more than 3 hectares, with its pond fed by the Lys, its waterfall and the construction of the vegetable garden, dates from 1870. More than a hundred varieties of flowers and vegetables can be discovered in this vegetable garden enclosed by high walls and laid out in thematic rooms. A stroll through these gardens will offer you an hour of reverie and serenity.
