From this ancient medieval building of the XIIth century remain today impressive houses, towers and walls. The castle is one of the links in a chain of fortresses that once encircled Brittany. Today, the building hosts a permanent workshop of ancient printing but also activities of illumination, exhibitions and even medieval re-enactments. New in 2022: guided tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 to 3 pm! Also the possibility of renting rooms for events, and guinguette to eat.

Opening time and information on GROULAIE CASTLE

From April 1st to September 30th, a municipal receptionist is present during opening hours. Open Tuesday to Friday from 2pm to 6:30pm; weekends and public holidays from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6:30pm. Free of charge. Guided tour (all year round, by appointment for a minimum of 15 people). Exhibitions and activities are subject to a charge of €3.50, free for children under 12.

Visited in december 2023

Joli château près de Blain. Vous pouvez faire une ballade le long du chemin de halage. Je l'ai découvert avec son marché de Noël. C'est une chouette rdv pour toute la famille ou entre copains. Tout y est: crèches, patinoire (micro), vin chaud, chalets, marché, père Noël et même Grinch.
