CIRCUIT DE HAUTE-PERCHE
Go there and contact
This 15 km loop follows the yellow markings, and is also available in a shortened version of 12 km. The start is at the exit of Arthon. Go along rue de l'Eglise, pass the cemetery, leave your car there and take the path on the right after the bridge, which runs along the detour. We revisit history through time: first the remains of the Gallo-Roman aqueduct, the ancient Roman road. Then, at the bridge of the arch, the canal de Haute Perche takes one of its sources. In the past, many boats came from Pornic, loaded with crops, ashes for fertilizer, tiles, lumber and firewood and various materials to go back to the village of Haute Perche. On the way back, observe the Château de la Meule (18th century). Note that a fitness trail is located near the Grand Fief.
