This museum, which tells the story of Pays de Retz from prehistory to the present day, is housed in the former Cordeliers de Saint-François convent. The visit allows visitors to discover and preserve the memory of traditional trades that have disappeared, as well as popular traditions, accurately recreated and leaving a feeling of nostalgia. Audiovisual videos and a library (by appointment only) containing numerous rare works complete the visit. Temporary exhibitions and events.

Un merveilleux musée très intéressant,et plein de cultures,sur l histoire de la Loire Atlantique, Vendée,de vieux instruments d antan..et de belles personnes qui vous accueillent avec amabilité et qui nous raconte de belles histoires.....du sel et sur Gilles de Rais...un très bon historien... merci
