Place of Christian worship dating back to the Breton origins of Guérande, second episcopal seat of the diocese of Nantes. Built from the 12th to the 16th century, it combines Romanesque and Gothic art. Elegant pulpit outside, historiated capitals, stained glass windows, columns. The lower chapel houses the recumbent of Tristan de Carné, his wife, and a sarcophagus from the middle ages. Second most visited religious monument in the Pays de la Loire, it is registered on the first list of historical monuments drawn up in 1838.
