It is the largest inland water plan of the Loire-Atlantique and the reservoir of the Nantes canal in Brest. It consists of Lake Vioreau, 180 ha for the large reservoir and 32 ha for the Petit Vioreau. It was dug by Spanish prisoners in the first part of the th century to feed the canal Napoleon I had decided to build. In 1835, a 130 m dam was erected for better flow regulation. Today fishermen are engaged in their passion, others practise canoeing, sailing, catamaran and windsurfing. Swimming is monitored in July and August on the forest beach where there is also a restaurant, walk and bar and a natural camping area. There is also a direction race course. Climbing, archery, horse riding. Artistic workshops and respect for the environment are proposed.
